Frequently Asked Questions
These answers will help you understand what the coaching involves and whether it is the right next step for you.
You are not handed a generic plan and left to manage it alone.Your eating patterns, hunger, cravings, energy, sleep, training and measurements are considered together. This helps establish what may be preventing your current effort from producing the result you want. You then focus on the changes most relevant to you and use your progress to determine whether they are working.
The principle behind the Maria-E 70/90 Methodâ„¢ is:90% of your result comes from how you fuel yourself 70% of the time. This does not mean applying the plan only when it is convenient. It means knowing which fuelling actions form the foundation of your progress and keeping them in place consistently enough to work.It also means knowing what can be adjusted when life changes and how to return without starting over
The coaching begins by establishing what is happening and why your current effort may not be producing the progress you expect. You then concentrate on the changes most relevant to your result. Your response provides the evidence needed to retain what is working and correct what is not.Throughout the process, you learn how to apply the approach during ordinary workdays, weekends, travel and social occasions.
Private Coaching is available online and in person. With online coaching, your measurements are collected through a guided process at home and your coaching sessions take place online. With in-person coaching, your measurements and coaching sessions take place face to face. The 70/90 Methodâ„¢, progress reviews and correction process remain the same. Only the way your information is collected and your sessions are delivered changes.
You receive personalised fuelling guidance built around what your body needs, how your life operates and the result you want. You will understand what you are changing, why it matters and what to observe as you put it into practice. The aim is not for you to remain dependent on instructions. It is for you to leave knowing how to make informed fuelling decisions for yourself.
No.You do need to apply the relevant changes consistently and honestly enough for your response to provide useful evidence. One difficult meal, day or week does not need to undo everything else. You learn what needs to remain in place and how to regain direction when something disrupts your progress.
Your measurements are considered alongside changes in your hunger, cravings, energy, sleep, eating patterns and how your clothes fit. These indicators help show whether the changes you are making are producing the intended effect.
You are not simply told to try harder.Your response is examined to determine what may be getting in the way. What works is retained. When something is not working, it is adjusted or corrected according to the evidence.
These situations are treated as part of the process rather than exceptions to it.You learn which actions are important enough to protect, what can be adjusted and how to return when your usual routine is disrupted.
Yes. Medication and coaching have different roles.Any decision about starting, stopping or changing medication remains between you and the healthcare professional responsible for prescribing it. Maria-E does not prescribe medication or advise you to change your dosage.Private Coaching helps you develop the fuelling, behaviour and correction skills that medication cannot teach you. These skills remain important while you are using medication and when your circumstances change.Your medication use should be discussed during the Clarity Call so that the role and boundaries of coaching are clear from the beginning.
The coaching is intended to help you create greater consistency, more control around food, steadier energy and visible progress in how your clothes fit and your body changes. Results differ between individuals and no specific outcome can be guaranteed. You will need to communicate honestly, apply the agreed changes consistently and share what happens when you put them into practice. You must also be willing to adjust when the evidence shows that something is not working rather than abandoning the process and starting again.
Private Coaching may be right for you if you have outgrown quick fixes and understand that lasting progress cannot depend on a temporary plan. You want to know what is preventing your effort from working and you are prepared to develop the fuelling, behaviour and correction skills needed to continue through real life.
Private Coaching is not intended for someone who:Is looking for another quick fix.Wants a solution to follow only when it is convenient.Wants repeated reassurance without applying the agreed changes.Does not see value in coaching or does not want expert guidance.
No.Determining what may be getting in the way is part of the process. You do not need to diagnose the problem before asking for help.
During the 10-minute Clarity Call, you can talk through the result you want, where your progress is stalling and what you have already tried. The purpose of the call is to determine whether 12-week Private Coaching is the right next step for you.
